Variegated Grass Widow  or blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium douglasii) wildflowers, Pacific Northwest. March.  Grass widows are one of the earliest wildflowers to display in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.  This variegated grass widow is fairly uncommon only occuring in one or two out of several thousand normal colored flowers (see H4A1263 or H4A1113).
