House Wren (Troglodytes aedon) male sings its lively song to proclaim territory along the shoreline of Lake Erie in spring near the Canada and USA border. A common backyard bird, the House Wren has one of the largest ranges of any songbird in the Western Hemisphere, breeding from central Canada all the way down to the southernmost point of South America.
